2009 Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering or the USTA Girls’ 18 National Championships!

The Nationals is the only USTA Junior National Championship in the country that is run by a staff of volunteers - an aspect of the tournament in which we all take great pride.

All volunteers receive our official tournament t-shirt and Court Monitors and Ball Runners also receive the official tournament had to protect them from the sun. Volunteers are also invited to attend our Nationals Welcome Dinner on August 8th at approximately 6:00 pm. The Welcome Dinner immediately follows our Mandatory Player Meeting at which community leaders welcome the guests and the Tournament Committee reviews important information for the players.

Please review the information below and contact the appropriate committee member if you are interested in volunteering.  A complete list of the Tournament Committee can be reached by clicking here.

Special Note to Students:  The Berkeley Tennis Club Foundation, the corporate entity that organizes the tournament, is a non-profit corporation.  Students may be eligible to receive volunteer service hours for the work they do at the tournament.  Contact Steve Cornell for more information at cornellofca@hotmail.com.
