College Coaches' Forum - 11:00 am to 2:30 pm: Between 11:00 am and 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 8th, The Nationals will host a College Coaches' Forum. Coaches from various colleges and universities across the country will be available either on a drop in basis or by appointment only to discuss their schools and athletic programs with you. Tournament Registration - 11:30 am to 3:30 pm: Players must report to the Berkeley Tennis Club to register for the tournament between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 8th. Players unable to arrive at the Berkeley Tennis Club prior to 3:00 pm due to limited airline arrival times must contact Andrea Norman as soon as possible - AndreaN64@aol.com OR (408) 892-7273. Also, on the day of registration, players having travel problems who think they may not make it to Registration must also contact Andrea Norman by telephone. An attempt will be made to contact players failing to appear at registration who have not previously made arrangements with Andrea Norman as instructed. If the tournament is unable to contact such a player, she will be withdrawn from the tournament and replaced with an alternate.
Doubles Registration - 11:30 am to 3:30 pm: Applications for entry into the Doubles Championships must be made between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 8th at the Berkeley Tennis Club. Both partners must be present at the same time to enter the Doubles Championships. At 3:00 pm on Saturday, a Players Looking for Partners Meeting will take place in the headquarters' room. All players who would like to play and who have not yet registered for doubles should attend the meeting to be paired with a partner. You will be responsible for pairing yourself. The tournament will not match players with partners.
Housing Meeting - 4:30 pm to 4:45 pm: At 4:30 pm, all players who will be staying in private homes during the tournament week are required to attend the mandatory Housing Meeting. Players should meet in the Headquarters' Room at 4:30 pm and will be escorted to the Senior Room for the meeting.
Mandatory Players' Meeting - 5:00 pm: Beginning at 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 8th at the Berkeley Tennis Club there will be a mandatory players' meeting outside on the pool deck. It is a requirement that all players attend this meeting, unless prior approval has been given by the Tournament Committee.
Chris Preston, the Tournament Referee, and others will provide important information. The players will also be addressed by a guest speaker.
Group Photograph - 5:45 pm: Immediately following the meeting, a group picture of all participants will be taken. Complimentary copies of the photograph will be available for all players.
Catered Dinner - 6:00 pm: Participants, their families and coaches, volunteers and tournament sponsors are invited to enjoy a complimentary catered dinner and socialize with all of the players in the tournament.
