Competition keeps me working on my game because I like to compete and in order to do so at a high level you have to constantly be working and improving. Tennis accomplishments of family members: No competitive players at home, my sister is a softball player. Tennis goals: I would like to gain a scholarship to a top Division I school and play in the NCAA finals. Tennis accomplishments: Winning the Illinois State Singles Championship in October and winning the winter Super Nationals in December. Challenges in tennis: Managing school and tennis is the toughest challenge. Inspirational person: My mom always strives to do her best and she works hard at everything she does, so she motivates me to work just as hard. Interesting places traveled to: When I was in 8th grade I went to a tennis academy in California. It was a great experience to be on my own and I loved the west coast from the mountains to the coast. Funniest tennis experience: My funniest moment was playing doubles in a tournament and my partner hit me in the back on her serve. Interesting fact: I recently visited Italy and just loved the people, the food, the history and I would really like to try living in a foreign country some day. Honors: I was chosen for the National All American High School Team and won Athlete of the Week and Year for WGN News. Hobbies: I like to play any kind of sport, enjoy music,and hanging out with family and friends.
