I am motivated to have success and be an impact player on a Division I tennis team, and this keeps me working at my game daily. Tennis accomplishments of family members: My sister, Elizabeth, is 15 and is ranked in the top 20 in the South in the 16's. My brother, Bradley, is 14 and is ranked top 50 in the South in the 14's. I often play tennis with my sister and brother. Tennis goals: I want to be an impact player on a Division I tennis team, and I want help lead my collegiate team to a National Championship. Tennis accomplishments: My major accomplishment has been placing fourth at Southerns. Challenges in tennis: My greatest challenge in tennis has been coming back from an 18 month-long wrist injury. It has been very hard to overcome, but I made it, but I am back to 100% strength! Inspirational person: My tennis coach, Jerry Baskin, has been an inspiration to me. He has the best work ethic out of everyone I know, and he daily sets a good example for me and my friends on and off the tennis court. He has stuck with me even through all of the injuries and illnesses I have endured. Interesting places traveled to: I have traveled all across the U.S playing tennis. I went to Metamoros, Mexico for a mission trip with my church over spring break. I traveled to London with my family to go to Wimbledon and to sightsee. Funniest tennis experience: Interesting fact: In addition to tennis, I am very active in my church and am successful academically - I have a 4.33 GPA. Honors: I am in the National Honors and Spanish Nationl Honors Societies. I have made all-county tennis teams in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. I was given an award from UGA that is given to 25 students with the highest GPA's in my class. Hobbies: I enjoy running, spending time with friends, going to Younglife and church, and being outdoors.
