Areas of study: Education, Liberal Arts First interest in tennis: My mother played college tennis and started playing with me and my sister when I was 9 years old. I love competing and winning so I am continously looking to improve Tennis accomplishments of family members: My mother played college tennis for Fordham Univ. My sister Jennifer age 14 is top 28 in the nation in her age group so we play together alot. Tennis goals: To play for a very good college and play in the NCAA tournament Tennis accomplishments: I won the Nike 14 and under Bronx Int'l Youth and travelled to Stanford for a tournament. Winning MVP for my High School tennis team and going to the NYS championships Challenges in tennis: Balancing school work and an increasingly demanding tennis schedule (due to the new point system travel has increased so I have to miss more school and this can be stressful) Inspirational person: I guess my mom because she played tennis for college and she got me started in the game. Interesting places traveled to: I have travelled to all parts of the United States and this has been very fun and educational. Funniest tennis experience: I was playing a supernational in Florida and I had match point. They stopped the match because of lightening for four hours. I waited and we went back on the court and my opponent double faulted and apologized to me. Interesting fact: I love to run and I am very fast. If I didn't do tennis I would be a track runner. Honors: Michael Mattera award - St. Patrick's (kindness award) MVP of High School Tennis team Hobbies: I love to read mystery novels and I love to watch Law and Order on TV.
